John Bender

John Bender is a non-executive director of Matthew Bender and Company Holdings Ltd, a single family fiduciary and investment office with origins in law book publishing. He acts as adviser to the strategy committee and has worked in the offshore family office groups at Coutts, Citigroup and Barclays Wealth. Between 1988 and 2003, John Bender covered the Far East equities markets at HSBC and Barings having spent much of his youth in Hong Kong. In addition to his professional involvements, he serves as Special Adviser to The Prince's Charities, the umbrella organisation for The Prince of Wales's non-profit organisations. John Bender was educated at Eton and Harvard and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Law. He speaks French, German, Spanish and Swedish.
